Mitsui Kinzoku ACT engages in CSR activities as one of the core businesses owned by stock listed corporation Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui Kinzoku”), as a member of the Mitsui Kinzoku group, as well as its own solo CSR activities in parallel, aiming to help create a sustainable society.

Mitsui Kinzoku ACT is engaged in numerous environmental initiatives, including reducing CO2 emissions by producing more lightweight products, minimizing the use of harmful substances through product manufacturing and development, reducing the use of materials that have an environmental impact, and encouraging the reduction and recycling of waste.
Quality
Mitsui Kinzoku ACT engages in quality monozukuri (manufacturing) globally to achieve greater safety and comfort in automobiles and respond appropriately to the trust placed in it by its stakeholders.

Working under its management principle of respecting people, Mitsui Kinzoku ACT makes it a basic policy to prioritize safety over all else, and strives to create workplaces in which a diverse range of human resources can work with peace of mind.
Supply Chain
Mitsui Kinzoku ACT has the largest number of suppliers of any member of the Mitsui Kinzoku Group, and its president is therefore appointed as chief supply chain supervisor for the entire Group. Mitsui Kinzoku ACT regards its suppliers as business partners, and endeavors to achieve the creation of a sustainable society throughout its entire supply chain.
Compliance
As one of the main businesses of listed corporation Mitsui Mining and Smelting Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui Kinzoku”), and as the most advanced member of the Mitsui Kinzoku Group in terms of globalization, Mitsui Kinzoku ACT has established a compliance framework on par with those of listed companies.
- - Compliance Committee meetings are held on a quarterly basis, and the compliance activities of the entire Group are monitored.
- - Mitsui Kinzoku ACT shares the same highly independent and confidential internal reporting (i.e. “whistleblowing”) system established by Mitsui Kinzoku, with external attorneys acting as points of contact both in Japan and overseas.
Outside Accreditation and Third-Party Evaluation
To prevent Mitsui Kinzoku ACT’s own solo CSR activities from becoming self-satisfied, as of 2016, the company has become the only member of the Mitsui Kinzoku Group to undergo third-party evaluations, and has obtained a Silver evaluation rank.
Third-party evaluation body EcoVadis (headquartered in France) evaluates the corporate activities of supplier companies in 150 business categories in 110 countries around the world, based on international standards such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO, in areas such as environment, working environment & human rights, fair business activities and supply chain.
